At Tight End University, competition, performance, and connection come together in one unforgettable experience. During the event in Nashville, Innovative Sims had the opportunity to add a different kind of challenge to the lineup by bringing a fully playable mobile golf simulator directly to the players.
Throughout the event, NFL tight ends were able to step into the simulator, hit real golf shots, view their results, and compete in a closest-to-the-pin challenge. The activation created a natural gathering place where players could relax, have fun, and bring the same competitive energy they carry onto the football field into the golf simulator.
It also gave us the opportunity to demonstrate what Innovative Sims does best: creating golf experiences that combine accurate technology, thoughtful design, simple operation, and plenty of room for competition.
Bringing a Mobile Golf Simulator to Tight End University
Tight End University brings current players, retired legends, and some of the biggest names in football together for several days of training, learning, collaboration, and relationship building.
Our goal was to bring an experience that complemented that environment.
The Innovative Sims team designed and set up a mobile golf simulator experience that gave players a chance to step away from the field, pick up a club, and compete in a completely different way. Rather than simply displaying golf simulator technology, we created a hands-on activation that allowed the players to experience it for themselves.
The simulator became an interactive destination within the event. Players could walk up, take their shots, compare results, and stay to watch their teammates and fellow competitors make a run at the leaderboard.
A Closest-to-the-Pin Challenge Built for Competition
Our Innovative Sims X PXG closest-to-the-pin challenge gave every player a clear goal: take their best shot and finish closer to the flag than everyone before them.
Every swing produced an immediate result on the simulator screen, allowing the player and everyone watching to see how the shot compared to the current leader.
At the end of the challenge, the winning shot earned more than bragging rights, with PXG golf clubs waiting for the player who finished closest to the pin.
The challenge showed why golf simulator experiences work so well at athletic events, corporate gatherings, and member events. They are interactive, easy to understand, and just as entertaining for the people watching as they are for the person taking the shot.
From an Event Pop-Up to a Permanent Custom Golf Simulator
The experience we brought to Tight End University was a temporary activation, but the same principles guide the permanent custom golf simulator rooms we design for homes, clubhouses, offices, hospitality spaces, and commercial environments.
Every custom simulator begins with the space and how the client plans to use it.
Some clients want a focused practice environment with detailed shot and swing data. Others want a social room where they can play golf, host friends, watch sports, stream movies, and spend time with family. Many want a room that can do all of those things without looking like a generic simulator package.
Our team coordinates the simulator technology with the design of the room so the finished space feels intentional, refined, and easy to operate.
Whether the project is a dedicated home golf simulator, a multipurpose media room, a commercial installation, or a mobile event experience, the goal is the same: make every swing feel like part of something bigger.
